COLUMBUS, Ohio (LMN-Digital) — Nuevamente, el Green Lawn Cemetery –uno de los panteones históricos más icónicos de Ohio– se llenó de flores de cempasúchil, altares, ofrendas, puertos artesanales, calaveras de azúcar, música, danzas folclóricas y las catrinas más llamativas caminando por doquier.

Las tumbas alojaron visitantes –no precisamente aquellos que regresaban del más allá– sino familias que llevaron mantas para sentarse tranquilamente en el césped, disfrutando los sabores de la gastronomía centroamericana.

El evento que anualmente presenta un concurso de altares/ofrendas, además del mejor vestuario de catrina, es posible gracias al esfuerzo de la organización sin fines de lucro Latino Arts for Humanity (LAH) que lidera Leticia Vásquez-Smith.
